Our meetings are the perfect learning and social environment for someone who owns investment property-or someone who anticipates owning investment property. Some members own 1,2,or 3 pieces of property; others own 75 or 80. The group consists of attorneys, realtors, self-employed people, retired people, and young professionals who have just started acquiring property.

Monthly Meetings
The Officers and Board of the Shreveport/Bossier Real Estate Investors Association invite you to be our guest at our next regular monthly meeting to be held on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 PM (See the calendar for our next meeting date and location). The speaker begins at 7:00, but come early because seating is sometimes snug.

Each month a speaker discusses something of interest to owners of rental property. These are some of the topics of presenters in the past:
  • Tax Assessor: How to reduce your property taxes.
  • Home Inspector: What to expect from a home inspection
  • A Banker: You can borrow money for investment property with just 10% down.
  • A Judge:  Evictions-What you need to know.
  • Fire Department:  Rules governing apartments
  • Insurance Agent:  The need for catastrophe and liability insurance.
  • A Screening Company:  What to expect if you hire them to screen potential tenants.
  • Code Enforcement:  What is the Law?
  • An Attorney:  The joys: of owner financing...techniques and pitfalls.

One of the benefits of joining the association is the camaraderie of being with others of identical business interests.  We share ideas, and if you have any unusual problems, we know several people you may call.

To become a member of our association you will pay only the current year's annual dues per household (not per person).

*You are invited to attend three meetings before deciding whether to join this group. We welcome you and urge you to attend as often as you like.
